Between RaftersInsulating a pitched roof between the rafters creates a warm roof space in a new or existing building where the ceiling is to be attached directly to the underside of the rafters.
This warm roof space can be used as additional living or storage space, adding extra value to the property. To avoid condensation occurring a 50mm ventilated air space between the insulation and traditional sarking felt is required by the Building Regulations/Standards for 'cold roof' construction.
For this application we would recommend the use of Seconds Sarking Board.
Fixing details
To maintain a 50mm ventilated void above the insulation, side nail battens to the rafters to provide a 'stop'. This will prevent the insulation boards moving into the void (see fig. 1 & 2).
Alright these are still coming into us and it has to be said going out at quite a rate as well and we're selling alot to Builders Merchants in bulk so I thought why not offer them to my loyal following at a decent price for a load. Now these are the rolls that are marked up as 100mm thick but in testing some only came up to 80mm thick hence the 80/100mm classification.Would do for internal partitions as they have some sound proofing they also split into .400 .600 and 1.200 widths. This is a bulk purchase of 24 rolls 1 pallet.
